We ran an online poll people back when Specter and a few Republicans refused to stand their ground and stop the blatant attack on the free-market system in the form of a “Stimulus Bill.” The poll had just under 1,000 votes, with 97% saying they would support a candidate against the three Republicans in the next primary.
Arlen Specter, as you’ll remember, later announced he was fleeing the Republicans and switched his party affiliation to Democrat. Word has it that Specter’s chances of winning another election are slim to none, but we’ll let time and PA voters be the judge of that.
What I’m curious to know, however, is how Illinois feels about Mark Kirk’s disastrous vote on Cap & Trade. Cap & Trade is a free-market foundation killer and another blatant attack on the fabric of our great country. How Mark Kirk could support such legislation is beyond me, but he did. And regardless of how I feel about him on any other position, this vote in and of itself is so deadly that I simply can no longer trust him to properly represent me. Especially now that he’s running for Senate.
But enough about me… let’s hear what YOU think.

I cannot stoop to supporting Mark Kirk so I would definitely support a candidate against him… not a Dem that is as bad or worse, but a conservative.
I will never support Mark Kirk. He is a turncoat!
I cannot believe any politician who claims to be a Repub could vote for cap & tax or TAX & TAX some more. Just another example of a N. IL crook.
I live in this district and I will support a candidate against Kirk. Will some one step up? I have no money, but I have time to give.
I wouldn’t vote for Mark Kirk even if his opponent was Jesse Jackson!
I will never vote for Kirk! He sold out the American People to the Sierra Club he was bought and paid for by them so why should he care about us. I also would never want to see Alexi Ganioulis ( I don’t know how to spell it) get that senate seat. He is also very shady!! I hope there will be better choices!!
